IDP League Drafts

  • Start-up League drafts will begin 24 to 48 hours after the last league fee is paid.

  • Existing leagues have 7 days after the final payment to finalize cuts. The draft will be scheduled for 9 days after the final payment or 48 hours after the final cut.

  • The draft order is determined for start-up leagues via a random lottery using the Fantrax.com draft pick generator.

  • Drafts are considered a “Slow Draft” with 2 hours per team, per pick, and usually take up to 2 weeks to complete (50 Round AVG)

  • Teams are emailed when the league is whole and when the draft will begin.

  • Once all teams are paid and confirmed, the draft may begin unless a predetermined date has been set.

  • Draft Type: Live Online Standard (Slow)

  • Time limit per pick: 2 hours

  • After two (2) consecutive time-out picks, you will be placed on auto-draft

  • Live draft sleep time start: midnight ET

  • Live draft sleep time end: 10:00 am ET

  • All returning teams are awarded one (1) Free Agent pick per player dropped or cut during the off-season.

  • Free Agent picks may be traded at will.

  • Players not found in the Fantrax.com player database cannot be drafted.

  • Once your team hits the DRAFT ROSTER CAP (league cap plus 5 additional off-season slots), your draft is OVER! You will not be given additional draft slots if you trade for additional players and/or picks.

**You are receiving credit for keeping any 1st Year player you drafted in our Rookie Draft on your roster for an entire season**

IDP League First-Year Player Draft (FYPD)

  • Each team will be awarded 3 FYPD picks to begin their season. The FYPD is for incoming first-year players ONLY. Players selected in the FYPD will register one credit for their owner towards Free Agency cuts the following season for the lifetime of their tenure on any team*. If traded, they will lose their Credit Status. FYPD players cannot be submitted as a CUT for the free-agent draft until all mandatory cuts have been made. Any undrafted FYPD player becomes a Free Agent at the end of the FYPD.

IDP League Free Agent Draft

  • The free-agent draft order will remain the same for existing leagues throughout the draft. Start-up Dynasty Leagues use a serpentine or snake draft for their first year.

  • Most Non-Playoff teams will have their position determined by order of finish in the postseason Draft Bracket.

  • Draft Order Change: Most teams that do not make the playoffs will play in a consolation bracket to determine the Draft Order for the following season. The team with the worst record gets the 1 seed. The following seeds get the next lowest bracket slot. Reseeding will occur each round until a winner is determined. Refer to the Draft Bracket rules section for the league-by-league outline.

  • The free-agent draft clock is 2 hours per pick. It is on from 10 a.m. ET to midnight ET daily until the draft is completed.

  • After two (2) consecutive time-out picks, you will be placed on auto-pick

  • If you miss a Free Agent draft selection, the system will select based on your queue first, then by ADP for the current season.

  • Once your team hits the DRAFT ROSTER CAP (league cap plus 5 additional off-season slots), your draft is OVER! You will not be given additional draft slots if you trade for additional players and/or picks.

  • Players taken in the Free Agent draft rounds start with zero (0) service time and progress by one (1) for every entire season they remain on your roster. After three (3) consecutive seasons on your roster, they become a credit. The standard progression is 0>1>2>C. For example, players drafted in round 1 of a 2025 draft will become a credit for you in the year 2028 (the 4th year of the league) as long as that player remains on your roster the entire time.

IDP League Waiver Wire Rules

  • In all leagues, we use a two-part claiming system.

    • All waived players are eligible for bidding daily using a Free Agent Acquisition Budget (FAAB).

    • All waiver claims are processed the next day at 9 AM ET.

    • After the 9 AM ET waiver run, all remaining players will be available on a First Come, First Serve (FCFS) basis until each player's game-time lock. At the start of each player's respective game, players will be waived and available to bid on for the next day's waiver run.

    • All dropped players will be automatically waived and locked for at least 24 hours to allow everyone in the league to bid on said player. Dropped players will be included in the following 9 AM ET waiver run after their 24-hour lock.

    • There is a season-long cap on FCFS claims. Once you have reached this cap, you can no longer claim players via FCFS. The FCFS claims limit begins immediately after the draft ends and ends on the first day of the playoffs.

  • All undrafted players will go to waivers for 24 hours after your league's yearly draft concludes.

    • All players will go on waivers at the start of their respective games.

    • Waivers run daily at 9 am ET.

    • After the 9 am ET waivers, all players will be available FCFS (first come, first serve) until the start of their game that day.

    • Any player whose team does not play on any given day will go to waivers at the start of the last game of that day.

  • All Free Agent claims will be locked at noon ET during the first Monday of the fantasy postseason.

    • The commissioner will reverse any Waiver claim made before the noon ET cut-off that the system processes on Tuesday at 9:00 am ET or Wednesday at 9:00 am ET.

    • Teams can drop players during the Postseason but cannot make claims.

IDP League Trades

  • Once the league host (Fantrax) is ready, Trades must be made using the transaction feature only.

  • Preseason trades may be completed once all teams' rosters are officially ready (Fees paid, cuts made)

  • Multi-player or lopsided trades may be made. Vacancies can be filled using one of your add/drops.

  • The owner with a surplus above the league-dictated roster max must drop at least one player to make room on their roster.
